Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is handled in Home Kat Bridge for iOS and macOS.

We Collect No Personal Information Using Our Applications

We do not collect, use, save, or have access to any of your personal data recorded in the app.

Your device settings in the Home Kat Bridge app are personal to you and are stored only on your device and in your iCloud account. Home device keys and third party cloud account information are stored in your private iCloud keychain. They are not accessible by any other app, nor transmitted to the app author or any other third party.

We do collect Category selection (but you can block it)

To better understand the interest in each category of devices, any only if Report Categories is enabled (it is enabled by default and can be turned off at any time) in General Settings, Home Kat Bridge sends an anonymous usage summary to the developer no more than once per calendar month, and only in a month when the HomeKat Bridge server is switched on. The summary contains the categories that are activated and enabled, the app version and platform, together with the server uptime during the last month; it does not contain any information about you, your home, your accessories or room names, HomeKit or device identifiers, network addresses, account details, credentials, location, Apple ID, or any personal information. Turning off the Report Categories setting stops future reports; anonymous summaries already submitted may remain in aggregate analysis.

Our Applications Comply with the Children‘s Online Privacy Protection Act

Our applications do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

If you contact us via email or social network, we use that information only to best serve you. We do not collect or share your email addresses, private images or any personal information.
